Frp bars in concrete

One thought is most likely that concrete will always be thick and durable. It is used in all construction on the road and bridge because it has a very high resistance to pressure of force. They can be used as an alternative for typical steel bars; one such approach is using them to substitute conventional steel bar in place. FRP bars are lightweight and relatively easier to handle than steel reinforcement. If you ever held and then tried to bend a traditional steel rebar, having done the same with an FRP bar then the level of difference should be clear. FRP bars on the other hand do not get corrode and hence they are more apt for service-life, so long as less maintenance over-the-years is concerned. So, there is some advantage in this as it could time and money because will be less maintenance needed for the long run.
